All new bookings placed after 27/03/2020 are protected by Master Cancel. This means you can cancel, for any reason, between 60 and 2 days prior to arrival for a full refund.

West Coast Hideaways is closed from the 1st December 2020 and reopens on the 30th December 2020 for Hogmanay and the 2021 season.

Please read before making your reservation. By making a booking, you agree to accept our full terms & conditions. These can be found on the site or emailed to you on request.
1. The maximum number of staying guests per shepherd hut is 2 people
2. Bookings are accepted following receipt of a 25% deposit. We consider our full Terms and Conditions to have been accepted by you on receipt of the deposit payment.
3. The balance is payable 42 days before arrival, non-payment within this time limit will be treated as a cancellation.
4. For bookings made less than 42 days before arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.
5. Acceptable methods of payment are by Credit or Debit Card, all payments are in GBP Sterling
6. Bookings made through our online booking system are provisional until confirmed by West Coast Hideaways by email.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Guests must check-in and check-out by the times stated below;
Check-in between: 16:30pm and before 18:30pm on day of arrival.
Check-out by: 10:00am on day of departure
Lets are for short stays or full weeks
Rowan & Iris: minimum 3 night stay
Handa Hut: Low Season only: 2 night stays available mid -week.
Low Season: November – March from £125 per night
High Season: April – October from £135 per night
Up to 10% discount on Seasonal rate
Dogs – One small dog is welcome in Rowan Shepherd hut only [see Dog policy] and an additional cleaning fee of £20 is a charged.
No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the huts at any time, any cigarette butts etc must be disposed of carefully and not discarded on the ground.
Cancellations must be made in writing preferably by email. Bookings can be cancelled 61 days or more prior to the arrival date without penalty apart from the the 25% deposit which is non-refundable in these circumstances.

To support our guests West Coast Hideaways have invested in cancellation protection cover.
Any new booking, that qualifies for the cover, can be cancelled between 60 days and 2 full calendar days prior to arrival day. The guest will receive a 100% refund including deposit.
To obtain a refund the cancellation must be received between day 59 and day 3 prior to arrival in writing. e.g. Friday arrival – cancellation must be received on the Tuesday prior to arrival at the latest.
Reimbursements will be made on the check-out date of the original booking.
If you cancel between two days prior check-in date or the day of check-in, you will not be reimbursed for your booking costs under any circumstances.
For bookings made prior to 27/03/2020 for holidays after 31st May 2020
Unfortunately cancellation insurance cover DOES NOT APPLY and the original cancellation T&C’s for the booking remain in force (see below). Bookings made prior to the 27th March and then postponed/ moved are not classed as new bookings and the cover does not apply.
Cancellation, Returned Deposit & Non-Arrival Conditions
Guest who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. Deposits already paid are only returned in accordance with the following conditions; If the accommodation is successfully re-let then we will refund monies paid less any fees incurred.If no re-let is possible payments are non- refundable.
Non-arrival guests, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason forfeit their monies paid.
We suggested that for ALL booking guests take out appropriate holiday insurance. Our cancellation policy is not a substitute for individuals protecting their holiday.
In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.
Damage or loss deposits (if paid) will be refunded in the case of a cancellation.
