All three huts offer luxury, ensuite accommodation for two, including rainfall shower, log burning stove, fully fitted kitchen with oak worktops, king-sized bed and a large picture window showcasing the magnificent sea and mountain views. Each individual shepherd hut has its own personality, giving a unique stay every time. Externally each shepherd hut has its own outdoor space with a wood-burning hot tub, dining furniture and BBQ. Now this is truly glamping!
Shepherd HutsNestled in the sheltered hamlet of Nedd on the side of a sea loch bearing the same name (Nedd in Gaelic is ‘An Nead’ and means ‘the nest’), Nedd sits along the B869, a dramatic coastal road linking Kylesku to Lochinver, part of the North Coast 500 route (NC500). Remote but not isolated, the village of Drumbeg lies just over a mile to the west with a well-stocked shop. The pristine beaches of Achmelvich, Clashnessie and Clachtoll are easily accessible.
Explore our wild croft with its spectacular sea views over Loch Nedd looking towards Lower Badcall, Scourie, Handa Island and to the distant mountain peaks of Fionaven, Arkle and Ben Stack. We also have commanding views over the dramatic western side of Quinag, a mountain that dominates the horizon in this part of Assynt and is popular with walkers.
